Classes spent time outside today participating in a Terry Fox run. We also had our first fire drill this week, students did an excellent job during this practice. Grade 5 and 6 Patrollers have completed their training and will be out on the crosswalk next week. Reminder that Friday, September 25 is a Non-instruction day and there is no school for students.

Open House

We look forward to seeing families at our Open House on Thursday, September 24 from 4:00pm-5:30pm. Families may come to the school anytime between 4:00pm-5:30pm to see their child’s classroom and meet their teacher. This is a drop in event and there is no need to book an appointment.

School Council

Our first School Council meeting for the 2026-2027 year will be on Thursday, September 24 at 6:00pm in the staffroom. This will be the annual general meeting for our School Council and PAC.

Cell Phones and personal mobile devices

Reminder that students are not permitted to use personal mobile devices during the school day. This includes cellphones and smartwatches to text and call. Student devices brought to school must be out of sight and either powered off or set to silent for the entire day, including lunchtime. Devices need to be left in backpacks, or left at home. CBE’s “Away for the Day” guidelines apply to Kindergarten to Grade 9 students and aligns with Ministerial Order #014/2024: Standards for the Use of Personal Mobile Devices and Social Media in Schools.

Kindergarten Registration

Children are eligible for kindergarten if they turn five years old on or before Dec. 31, 2026. Please use the following link for additional information, all registration is completed online and is ongoing. If you have a child eligible for kindergarten and need help to register please reach out to the office.
