Some of our grade 2 and grade 5/6 classes went on field trips this week. They did an excellent job representing Guy Weadick School. Teachers are currently working on report cards, these will be available for families to access online beginning on Monday, January 27.

Report Cards

On January 27, you will have access to view your child’s report card in your MyCBE account. Report cards summarize student achievement at a point in time. They are jone way teachers communicate about how well your child is meeting the outcomes in various subjects. For students in grades 1-6, progress in all discipline areas will be communicated to parents/legal guardians on the January report card. For students in Kindergarten progress in ELAL and Math will be communicated to parents/legal guardians in the report card.

Families can view, download or print online report cards for kindergarten to Grade 12 students on Monday, Jan. 27 until May 30, 2025 through MyCBE.

Alberta Education Assessments

Students in Grades K, 1, 2, & 3 are currently being assessed in both literacy and numeracy. These assessments are activities that will be done by your child’s teacher, during school time, before the end of January. These assessments are mandated by Alberta Education. Individual student results will be shared with Alberta Education and are not used in determining report card grades. Assessment is ongoing and a regular part of every school year. This is just one more way our teachers are better able to understand the learning needs of your child.  You can learn more about the Alberta Education Assessments in the document, What are Universal Screeners? If you have any questions about these assessments, please contact your child’s teacher. 

2025-2026 Kindergarten Registration

Registration for the 2025-2026 school year has started. For children to be eligible to register and attend kindergarten in September 2025, they must turn five years old on or before Dec. 31, 2025. For additional please see the Kindergarten registration page.
