It was a great week of learning at Guy Weadick School! Make sure to ask your child to share some of the things they have been learning about this week. Reminder there is no school for students on Friday, October 25. Teachers will be working on professional learning on our School Development Plan. We look forward to sharing our School Development Plan with our school community soon.  

School Patrols and Traffic Safety

Our School Patrols have been busy training and practicing; you will see them out in our crosswalks very soon. Please pay extra attention when approaching our crosswalks and do not block crosswalks with your vehicle. Reminder that the speed limit in school zones is 30KM/HR.

Halloween

Halloween is on Thursday, October 31. Students may wear their Halloween costumes to school in the afternoon if they would like (AM Kindergarten students may wear their costumes in the morning). We do ask that students do not bring masks or weapons as part of their costumes.

School Council

Thank you to all our parents who joined us for our School Council meeting this week. Our next School Council meeting will be on Wednesday, November 21 at 3:30PM. We will meet in person in our Learning Commons and also send out a meeting link for anyone who would like to join us virtually. Being part of our School Council is a great way to have a positive impact on our school community.

If your child will be participating in the School Council Subway Fun Lunch, all forms must be returned by Wednesday, October 23. No late forms can be accepted, please send exact change only.
