Guy Weadick students have been enjoying participating in Alien In-Line skating during physical education classes, this activity continues next week. We had our first fire drill this week, students did an excellent job.

Terry Fox Run

Classes will be participating in a Terry Fox run next week. Teachers will share the day that their classes will hold their run.  We will be collecting Toonies for Terry, students are invited to bring in any cash donation to their classroom teacher to help support the Terry Fox Foundation and cancer research.

Orange Shirt Day

Orange Shirt day is held annually on September 30 to support residential school survivors and show that Every Child Matters. As there is no school on September 30, Guy Weadick School will participate on Wednesday, October 1. Students are invited to wear Orange in recognition of Truth & Reconciliation. 

School Council and PAC News

The School Council and PAC are an important part of our school community. Our first School Council and PAC meeting will be on Thursday, September 25 at 6:00PM in the Learning Commons.

Casino

The largest fundraiser that our PAC holds is a Casino where we volunteer and receive significant funds to support the school. The PAC has received the dates for our next casino: November 5 and 6. We need volunteers for this event (volunteer police clearance is not needed), please reach out to the school if you would be interested in volunteering or would like additional information. There are daytime and evening shifts available.
