Principal's Message

Next week, we will celebrate winter Solstice on Dec. 21. This is a significant day in Blackfoot tradition as it represents the start of a new year. It is a time for reflection and to appreciate what has transpired during the past year, the lessons that have been learned, and to set new intentions for the time to come. Elder Saa’kokoto’s teaching reminds us that this is a significant day in Blackfoot tradition as it represents the start of a new year.​To acknowledge this important day, teachers will share a Winter Solstice video with their classes on December 21 and to take their students outside to reflect on and appreciate the beauty and significance of this day.

Casino Update: While we now have just enough volunteers to fill all designated roles, we still need a hand full of people who could serve as back-up in the event someone is unable to fulfill their commitment. If you are available to take a shift during our fundraising casino this Sunday or Monday, please email us at Guyweadick@gmail.com

Kindergarten Registration 2024-25

Kindergarten registration for the 2024-25 school year will begin on Monday, Jan. 15, 2024. Children can be registered for kindergarten as long as they turn five years old on or before Dec. 31 of the school year they will be in kindergarten. For example, when registering for the 2024-25 school year, your child must turn five on or before Dec. 31, 2024.

Gratitude

A huge shout out of thanks to our School Council for funding our grade 5/6 entrepreneurs craft market! Students learned about business proposals, prototypes, and financial literacy outcomes. We are so appreciative School Council for also covering the cost of our new book collection for social emotional learning!
