Principal's Message

This Saturday is Family Literacy Day. Family Literacy Day 2024 | abclifeliteracy.ca . Here is a flatsheet of suggestions and ideas from CBE for you to celebrate as a family (see Resources).

At Guy Weadick School, we will be celebrating Literacy all next week with fun literacy activities and a theme event every day!

Report Cards

Teddy Bear Booknic

As part of our Literacy Week at Guy Weadick, we will be hosting a Teddy Bear Booknic on Friday February 2, starting at 10:15am in the gym. All students and teachers will be sitting on mats in the gym and reading silently or with buddy partners or parents. We will bring in loads of additional books to share during the Booknic reading rally. Parents will be invited to attend Teachers, and guardians all attend to read with children and their buddies on blankets, benches and mats. Students are invited to bring a stuffed animal of their choice to read with their buddies, teachers and family members.
